A Teaching/Practicing/Self-learning Series


"Zui Ku Zhong Wen" has three volumes, from Novice-Low level to Intermediate-mid level as defined in  "the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages" (ACTFL) language level standard. It is written by Wei L. Kelly, a 6-12 Mandarin classroom teacher, and illustrated by Cris Hammond. Ms. Kelly has been developing a curriculum and teaching in independent schools since 2006. Mr. Hammond is an award-winning artist and cartoonist. 

"Zui Ku Zhong Wen" can be used as a classroom textbook, DIY study material, a short story book, or a reading series. The book presents a neuroscience-based and proven to be efficient for second language learners of all ages. 

"Zui Ku Zhong Wen" is not a traditional textbook. The content and methods are effective and innovative with a realistic and natural language acquisition approach. The book is based on two storylines: cartoon character stories, and real-life character stories. The language focuses on relevant, high-frequency words, emphasizing sentences (not vocabulary), and communication skills. The process of teaching and learning is engaging and joyful, and students are more interested and learn at a faster pace.

"Zui Ku Zhong Wen" will take Mandarin teachers and independent learners to the CI (Comprehensible Input) and TPRS© (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) approch, which takes students to fluency and language efficiency more quickly. This book makes learning easier and more fun, supporting teaching and learning all four language skills in listening, reading, speaking, and writing.

中文教学/练习/自学系列


《最酷中文》分四卷，按照“美国外语教学委员会”（ACTFL）的语言等级标准，从初级到中中级水平。作者是美国初、高中对外汉语教师Wei L. Kelly 撰写，并由 Cris Hammond 绘制。自 2006 年以来，Kelly 女士一直在美国私立大学预备高中设计、开发对外汉语课程和课堂教学。Hammond 先生是一位屡获殊荣的艺术家和漫画家。

《最酷中文》可作为课堂教材、自学教程、故事集、或者分级阅读系列。该教材运用基于大脑科学的且行之有效教学的方式方法，适用于所有年龄段的第二语言学习者。

《最酷中文》不是传统的教科书。它的内容和方法有效及新颖，应用切合实际的和自然状态学习语言的习得方法。这本书基于两个故事情节：卡通虚构故事和现实生活中的人物故事。该语言教学侧重于日常应用的高频词，强调句子（而不是词汇）和沟通技巧。教与学的过程引人入胜、愉快轻松，使学生的兴趣更大，学习速度更快。

《最酷中文》指导对外汉语教师和汉语自学者应用CI*（可理解输入教学法）和TPRS©（通过阅读和讲故事）的外语教学法，使学生更快地提高流利程度和语言学习效率。本书使学习变得更轻松、更有趣，培养听、读、说、写四种语言技能的教学和学习。
